months.
3. I forgot
my password
You will need to contact us via email from another email account
and ask us to reset the password. You will need to indicate what
your account name is. (Email us at support@legalemail.com)
4. Is
there anything that I can do about spam?
The Legalemail.com mail server has some limited spam filtering
built into it. It will try to identify mail messages that are
coming from known mail spamming mail servers. It doesn't delete
spam but puts an extra entry in the mail header that looks like
"X-RBL-Warning". There are two ways that you can get
rid of the spam: either in Outlook (locally) or via our web interface
(on the server).
An actual sample of what is inserted in the mail header is shown
below:
X-RBL-Warning:
mail from 61.155.107.130 refused by ORDB, see http://www.ordb.org/faq/
On
the server, you can login to the mail account using the web interface
at www.legalemail.com (use the full email address as the username).
If you click on Options, you can see an option called "Filters".
Click on that.
You can add a new rule by clicking the arrow next to the "To"
and selecting "X-RBL-Warning". The rule can say something
like if X-RBL-Warning contains mail, move to Trash (Alternatively,
you could create a folder called Spam and move the messages to
that folder. That way you can check the messages marked as spam
to make sure that no legitimate messages have been marked as being
from a spammer.)
In
Outlook, you can set up a rule using the Rules Wizard to look
for messages with a header containing "X-RBL-Warning".
Then either delete or put the messages in a folder you create
called spam. The problem with this method is that you still have
to grab all the messages from the server. They're not actually
processed until they get into Outlook on your computer. (The Rules
Wizard can be found by clicking on Tools on the menu bar in Outlook
and then selecting “Rules Wizard”.)
Outlook
also has some built-in spam filtering functionality in which you
can classify an email as being from a junk mail sender so that
future mail from that address is blocked. (A comparable feature
does the same for adult content emails). If you look under Actions
on the Outlook menu bar, you should see an option called “Junk
E-mail”. Selecting that option shows you 2 more options: Add to
Junk Senders List and Add to Adult Content Senders List. These
lists can be maintained by looking under Tools on the Outlook
menu bar and then selecting Organize. (These instructions pertain
to Outlook 2000. Other versions of Outlook may vary. Search your
Outlook help for more information).
